A Proud Father

Today was beautiful! It was Amy's school Prize giving this afternoon. Amy was awarded 3 prizes!!! Two of them were music related - The Kirkwood Scholarship, this is the second year she has won this prize, The music Performance Award and The Lyons Shield which is awarded to the pupil who has contributed most to the well being of the school. We are so proud of Amy and what she has achieved this school year. At the prize giving both Amy and Beth were involved in various performances. Beth played her oboe in the school orchestra and sang in the choir. Amy also played the clarinet and sang in the choir, but also had a solo singing "Can't stop lovin' dat man." Even with a sore throat she was outstanding. She told me I could upload her performance so feel free to watch her - note the fact she has no shoes on, she has started this thing of kicking off her shoes before she sings, she says it makes her feel more comfortable and relaxed.

Well tonight I had class with the older boys and the later the mixed class with the girls - it all was great and a fitting last class for the Easter break. I get a break now from my school's and the classes until the schools go back in 2 weeks. I can now start to work on some lessons for the young adults weekend coming up in April.

That's all for tonight - take care!
